Shifaa needed a robust CRM to manage medical operations across clinics. The founding team faced product roadmap paralysis: they had dozens of doctor feature requests without clear prioritization, technical indecision between low-code and custom architecture, and strict regulatory requirements for patient health data privacy.
Took a consulting-first approach to structure the product into phased milestones: Phase 1 focused on patient intake, clinical consultation notes, calendar management, and prescriptions. Architected the system on Next.js, NestJS, and MongoDB with field-level data encryption and role-based access control (RBAC).
Structured domain workflows into decoupled modules. Built dynamic JSON schema validation in NestJS to accommodate varying medical specialties (dermatology, cardiology, general medicine) without rigid schema migrations. Deployed cryptographic access guards separating administrative staff from confidential medical diagnoses.
Designing specialty-agnostic consultation intake schemas that validate medical metrics cleanly while allowing doctors flexible charting; enforcing zero-trust role-based access to prevent administrative staff from viewing patient clinical diagnoses.
Delivered Phase 1 healthcare CRM on schedule with zero scope creep; secured 100% compliance with health data privacy guidelines; client retained the engineering team for Phase 2 clinic expansion and multi-location management.
End-to-end technical leadership: domain modeling, system architecture, database design, hands-on production code, and zero-defect deployment.
