Global High-Volume Fashion E-Commerce Platform
An international direct-to-consumer fashion retail engine engineered to support 500,000+ apparel SKUs, international currencies, and extreme flash-sale traffic peaks.
Engagement focused on performance engineering, query refactoring, and database scaling to support international expansion. Subsequent seasonal storefront updates were handled internally.
An international fast-fashion e-commerce platform serving millions of shoppers across North America and Europe was hitting severe database bottlenecks. During international marketing pushes, 500,000+ SKU multi-attribute catalogue filtering saturated database CPU, resulting in 5-second page loads and elevated cart abandonment.
We executed a comprehensive performance engineering overhaul, introducing database read-replica partitioning, query execution plan optimizations, edge caching rules, and asynchronous cart state persistence.
We restructured the SQL querying layer to eliminate non-sargable query clauses, added compound indexing for frequent filter permutations, and offloaded static category pages to Cloudflare Edge cache with stale-while-revalidate policies. Checkout APIs were hardened with connection pooling and idempotent transaction handlers to absorb flash-sale traffic surges.
Preventing database connection exhaustion when global promotional campaigns sent tens of thousands of concurrent shoppers to the catalogue.
Multi-million user scale sustained with sub-50ms catalogue responses and 99.99% checkout uptime; 35% reduction in checkout drop-off rates during international promotional campaigns.
End-to-end technical leadership: domain modeling, system architecture, database design, hands-on production code, and zero-defect deployment.

“Shubham's diagnostic precision pinpointed database inefficiencies our previous consultants had missed for months. His architectural optimizations allowed us to scale through our biggest international promotional season without a hitch.”
You own the system.
The code. The infra. The data.
Software should not become valuable enough to matter and then be impossible for the client to own or operate.
Everything I build is 100% client-owned intellectual property from day one. You own the code, the accounts, the infrastructure, and the data. No vendor lock-in.
