Bespoke Personalization & Gifting E-Commerce Engine
A high-customization consumer gifting platform featuring client-side real-time preview compositing, multi-attribute personalization, and peak-scale order routing.
Engagement delivered the high-concurrency personalization architecture and peak performance hardening. Continued product additions followed internal roadmap.
A high-customization consumer gifting platform experienced crippling server CPU spikes during peak seasonal holidays (Valentine's, festive gifting). Hundreds of concurrent shoppers uploading personal photographs, designing custom text layouts, and requesting instant render previews overwhelmed backend image processing servers.
We decoupled graphic generation from server infrastructure by moving the personalization rendering pipeline directly into client-side WebWorkers and HTML5 Canvas, enabling zero-latency previews while slashing server resource consumption.
We engineered an in-browser graphics compositor running in background WebWorker threads, allowing users to customize physical gift items with real-time typography, photo filters, and positioning. Completed configurations generated high-resolution production-ready print files asynchronously upon checkout. We paired this with aggressive edge caching and an optimized checkout funnel.
Ensuring custom print-resolution images (300 DPI) were generated reliably on low-memory mobile browsers without browser tab crashes.
Client-side WebWorker compositor decoupled server CPU and sustained 4x peak sales volume without a single server interruption; instantaneous real-time preview generation on all mobile devices.
End-to-end technical leadership: domain modeling, system architecture, database design, hands-on production code, and zero-defect deployment.

“Moving our customization engine to the client browser was a masterstroke that solved our recurring holiday crashes. Shubham's architectural insight saved our infrastructure budget while dramatically improving customer satisfaction.”
You own the system.
The code. The infra. The data.
Software should not become valuable enough to matter and then be impossible for the client to own or operate.
Everything I build is 100% client-owned intellectual property from day one. You own the code, the accounts, the infrastructure, and the data. No vendor lock-in.
